Translation of the review 8/25/79 Pop Rock (it's almost as if the two writers attended different shows):
Max Webster was at PRETZEL ENCHAINE on July 17th. This Toronto band won over the PRETZEL crowd. The venue was packed. Rather surprising for a Tuesday night. The amplifiers were running at full volume (Max doesn't spare our ears), but it's music we listen to with interest. The songs are never too long, and guitarist Kim Mitchell's eccentric movements make him the main visual element. Songs from their latest album, "A Million Vacations," were especially featured, including the famous "Let Go The Line." I've known Kim Mitchell to be more exaggerated in his stage movements (jumping in the air synchronized to the rhythm of the music), but the small size of the stage didn't allow for such extravagance. All in all, Max Webster is a band made for large auditoriums.
