Mayfield’s auditorium is a proper theatre with 950 seats. It is the second biggest theatre in the Region of Peel (second only to Mississauga’s Living Arts Centre). I remember when Max Webster first walked on stage during the afternoon set up before their first Mayfield show, and they were impressed that a high school had such a grand theatre. During the soundcheck they played a hilarious short reggae version of Xanadu. Between songs, Kim commented that I was freaking him out with the strange faces I was making.
