Old Home Week in Oshawa. Downtown four corners blocked off for festivities. It starts to get dark and the headliner band takes the stage. The older folk start to flee in droves with the look of shock on their faces as Max Webster begins to play. Those who stayed got a little savagery in their life and had trouble tying their shoes.

I saw Max Webster in 1974 in downtown Oshawa at an event called Old Home Week, where they played right at the four corners on a stage. Kim Mitchell came out in long red long johns with a flap in the back, and the band was terrific - they were crazy, and talented and I was hooked.
