Nimbus 9 Productions was responsible for Max Webster’s first studio experience. Jack Richardson financed the sessions resulting in a four song demo produced by his protégé Bob Ezrin and engineered by Corky Stasiak. Ezrin and Richardson soon took the tapes to LA where they would be heard by A&R reps at Mercury Records.
Four songs were tracked, another one of which Paul Kersey insists was Here Among the Cats. In their downtime Kersey played pinball with Alice Cooper, who was there recording Welcome To My Nightmare, also produced by Ezrin. A young Keanu Reeves was also on hand for the fun in the break room.
